Psychotherapist and Counsellor
Bjørg (Biörk) offers counselling and psychotherapy online counselling and psychotherapy for adults, adolescents
(from 16 years), and their families in English and Danish. She has a client centered approach and believes that we are all unique individuals, with different backgrounds, perspectives, values, strengths and coping strategies. This is taken into consideration, so that the sessions will be tailored to each client.
Importance is put on the therapeutic alliance, and on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment in sessions. Clients of all cultures, values, beliefs and sexual orientations are welcome and equally cared for.
Bjørg holds a Master in Counselling, Monash University and a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapy, The School of Positive Psychology.
She is a registered counsellor and member of following professional associations:
Clinical member, Singapore Association for Counselling (CMSAC)
Certified Master Practitioner (L3), Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore, APACS

Psychotherapy and counselling offered for a range of issues using a variety of therapies
Bjørg offers individual Psychotherapy and Counselling for adults, adolescents and their families of all backgrounds.
She offers counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, anger management, interpersonal issues, parenting, and trauma. In addition, Bjørg offers counselling for transition, grief and loss, with special interest in helping people affected by chronic health issues and other life changing experiences.
The main therapies used are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Narrative Therapy. In addition, Applied Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness will be implemented when relevant.
Bjørg is an accredited provider of the Cool Kids Anxiety Program, Macquarie University, and is offering the Cool Kids Chilled Anxiety Program for children 13 years and above and their parents for individual and group sessions.
Cool Kids "Chilled" Program
An anxiety program for adolescents based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Bjørg Plougmand is accredited by Macquarie University’s Centre for Emotional Health as a Cool Kids Accredited Provider and offers the Cool Kids "Chilled" Anxiety Program in Danish and English for adolescents 13-18 years old and their parents.
The program is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), involves the participation of children and parents, and focuses on teaching practical skills. It is a structured 10 session program run over a minimum of 10 weeks that teaches children and their parents how to better manage a child’s anxiety.
The Cool Kids program was developed by Macquarie University and has been running since 1993. The program has undergone continual scientific evaluation and development to include the latest understanding of anxiety and its treatment.
