Approach

Bjørg is passionate about resilience and assisting clients in overcoming hardships in their life by developing coping skills. She strongly believe that we all have our own unique story, perspective, values, beliefs, issues and strengths. Different things make different people happy or distraught. Her approach to psychotherapy takes this view into consideration, so that the sessions will be tailored to each client, based on the notion that we are all unique individuals, who have individual strengths and coping strategies. Compassion, Self-Compassion and Self-Care are all considered important parts in achieving emotional wellbeing, and coping with distress and hardship.

The therapy sessions will function as a collaboration, where Bjørg will help the client find, nurture and strengthen their individual resources and develop tools that can help empower the client and build stronger resilience for the future.

Importance is put on the therapeutic alliance and all clients are met with unconditional positive regard, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment in sessions. Clients of all cultures, values, beliefs and sexual orientations are welcome and equally cared for.
